Fire Safety
Official statistics recently published by the office of the Deputy Prime Minister reveal that 25,300 non-domestic premises fires were reported to and dealt with by the UK Fire Service resulting in 27 deaths and 1400 casualties in 2005-2006.
Recent changes in fire safety legislation together with the ever present need for fire safety, means that the need for high quality, understandable fire risk assessments together with a high standard of fire safety training has never been more important.
The full impact is not limited to the many deaths and injuries caused. Additional effects include:
- Loss of business
- Loss of building and property
- Negative publicity
- Breaches of legislation
- Many unforeseen and uninsured costs.
