Fire Safety Plans
The construction industry is a high risk environment with regard to fire emergencies and requires the implementation of good, in-depth and understandable fire safety strategies. These strategies are outlined in the recent 6th edition of the ‘Fire Prevention on Construction Sites’ guidance document. This was written and published by the Construction Confederation and the Association of British Insurers and clearly calls for the production of a dedicated Fire Safety Plan.
Insurance companies now require evidence of compliance with the 6th edition of this guidance document. At 4See, our fire team can assist in compiling dedicated, project specific fire safety plans for all sizes and types of construction projects.
Working closely with project and site managers, the fire safety plan is compiled by our consultants to complement the project’s construction phase plan, thereby enhancing the identified controls for fire safety.
Fire safety plans will identify and manage the foreseeable fire risks associated with construction projects and can be updated during the life of the project to reflect the changes in the project together with the required controls for fire safety.
