Environmental Management System
Aims and objectives
With the growing public awareness of environmental issues and the increasing emphasis on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), UK businesses are under increased pressure to ensure their work activities do not harm the environment.
As a result it is becoming increasingly critical for companies to establish an effective management strategy to improve their environmental performance – benefiting not only the environment, but leading to significant savings for the organisation.
This course is designed to meet the requirements of companies striving to improve their environmental performance. It will provide employees with information on the potential environmental impacts of construction, practical solutions to site issues, cost saving ideas and a general appreciation of environmental management.

• All templates and support materials are provided – for example at the end of the first seminar the templates for phase 1 are provided and can be adapted to your company requirements
• Ongoing support and guidance – throughout the process your tutor will be available to provide assistance in completing the tasks required for progression to the next phase
• Building up a support network – by working through the process with other companies in a similar position enables you to learn and develop from each other
